Supporting Sensory Eating - 1.25 hours

In this one and a quarter hour live presentation we will consider the Sensory Processing differences often observed in Neurodivergent children, or those who have experienced trauma, especially around food. We will look at how these differences can affect the child's ability to tolerate a wide range of food tastes, colours, smells and textures. Practical ideas for supporting sensory eaters to access safe foods in a way that matches their sensory profile will be provided.

In a face to face session, educators will have the opportunity to reflect on their centre's food and mealtime policies, and their current practice.

The online, pre-recorded version is shorter.

This item aligns with SRF Broad Goal  'The service will develop and implement systematic processes which focus on improving equitable access'
